Asheville, North Carolina is one of the most unique cities in the country. This small mountain town is the largest city in Western North Carolina, and tourism is a big business here. One of the reasons we draw so many people to our area is because of our extensive arts scene. The arts have been a part of Asheville for over a century and were a big draw for writers and artists like F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, who lived here in the summers of 1935 and 36. Today, our area has several thriving arts communities. Here’s a closer look.
